Sacred family

 what is family?family means such members which gives peace,support,comfort,to each other in every condition whether good or bad. We human beings are called as social beings because we need people with whom we can live, share enjoy every moment of our life. Family is a blessing but without supporting each other ,it will become a place of painful hell ,hard to survive. Only walls of home or its decoration or money or all materialistic things do not bring peace. Peace acquires when both the members follow the path of peace I. E Islam and supports each other in this divine path as did Hazrat hajirah may Allah be pleased with her. Prophet Abraham had a great mission and see how his wife gaves him full support. Even she agreed to stayed alone in the desert with her toddler son ismaeel and never complained him about anything. In such critical conditions how she built her son. How that small child prepared himself for sacrifice for god’s will. That was actually the spirit of his divine mother’s guidance. 

We women are actually the daughters of those mothers but we deviate from our mothers path and play the role of prophet nuhs and prophet luts wives,who never supported their husbands. 

Blessed is that family where all members lives the life according to the principles of islam and gives support to each other in this sacred way.

Let’s see how family of Abraham sacrificed for Islam. 

[Say Allah speaketh the truth!     Follow the religion of Abraham,the sane in faith,he was not of the pagans.[ Al Imran]

[And says who can be better in religion than one who submits his whole self to Allah,does good,and follows the way of Abraham the true in faith?for Allah did take Abraham for a friend].[ Al nisa]

Allah orders the ummah of prophet Muhammad [p. B. U. H]to follow the path of Abraham. Allah wants our characters to be as prophet Abraham. Whenever Allah gaves example of any true Muslim,he gaves the example of Abraham. He was a true slave of Allah,sacrificed everything for his pleasure. The land had rarely seen such obedient personalities towards Allah after his death. He was putted in great and hard trials by his lord but always stood firm and staunched in his faith. 

Allah says, [and mention o Muhammad,when Abraham was tried by his lord with commands and he fulfilled them]. [alquran]

He was born before 4500 years ,in Babylon ,a place where everybody practiced idolatry ,evil deeds,criminal actions and many more. Allah gaves him wisdom beginning from his childhood and he understood the concept of god at his early age,as is mentioned in Quran. 

He preached his father and his home land about mOnotheism,and that was the beginning of his trials. His father and home land get him out. 

Allah says! [and mention ,o Muhammad,when Abraham said to his father Azar,do you take idols as deities?indeed ,I see you and your people to be in manifest error. ]

The father replied,do you hate my gods,o Abraham?if you for bear not,I will indeed stone you. Now get away from me for a good long while.[ Surah Maryam 46]

The king of Babylon{ namrod }ordered to throw him in the blazing fire or else reject his faith. Prophet preferred fire over faith. But Allah protected him every time from their mockeries. 

Allah says ,they said,burn him and protect your gods,if you do anything at all. [Al Quran ]

We said ,o fire,be you cool,and a means of safety for Abraham. Alquran]

He lefted his home land and went towards Palestine to spread the unity of god. Then he went towards Egypt and Mecca. He migrated from one place to the other to brought their the message of monotheism. 

He was a man of serenity,faith,and sacrifice. These are just some of the qualities that characterize Abraham. His life was full of intricates.but he always proved true Muslim. One of the hard test for him was to took his wife hajirah and his toddler son ismaeel in the desert of Mecca where there was no human life at that time. Neither was their any food nor water. At first ,hajirah felt upset but when she becomes aware that it is lords command,she surrendered her will. She had a strong faith in Allah and knews that he will never forget me and my son. 

Imagine ,how she survived alone without any home facilities and sustenance?it is beyond the words to describe her patience,faith in god and obedience towards her husband. She was a pious lady,great follower of prophet,a very good mother and loyal to her husband. That is why she bored a child like ismaeel. If mothers are true slaves of Allah,they will definitely bore children like ismaeel. There is a big lesson for women in hajirahs life. Ask yourself?can we survive in such desert for Allahs pleasure?are we such obedient towards our husbands as was hajirah ?allah provides us with all modern facilities in our homes but still we are ungrateful towards god as well as husbands. As was prophet Abraham patient so was hajirah too. Woman remains woman if she has patience, but today she has lost this precious Jewel,that is why we are not ready to sacrifice any thing in the cause of Allah. It was hajirah ,who did not stop Abraham to sacrifice his child for the sake of Allah.

When ismaeel grew a little big,Abraham was putted again in a big and hard test. He saw in dream that he was sacrificing his son ismaeel. He invited sons opinion in the matter and the son replied,o my father ,do what you are commanded. If Allah wills you will find me of the patient one.  

Allah says,then,when the son reached the age of serious work with him,he said,o my son,I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice,now see what is thy view. The son said,o my father,do as thou art commanded ,thou will find me,if Allah so wills one practising patience and constancy. [As saffat ]

Prophet ismaeel was a young boy but see  the words of his response. That was actually the influence of His spiritual mother,who taught him the service of a true slave of Allah. 

On the other side,how patient and loyal Abraham was towards god. This son in his old age was his only hope,and though he loved his son so much as is but natural,but in spite of this ,he decided to sacrifice him. He laid down his son to sacrifice him but god stopped him to do this. 

Allah says! we called out to him,o Abraham,you has already fulfilled 

The vision,indeed do we reward those who do right. For this was obviously a trial. And we ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice. And we left this blessing for him among generations to come in later times.[  Alquran]

After that god ordered Abraham to build a house for worship. Then Abraham and ismaeel started to built a house of worship of Allah at Mecca. 

Allah says,behold we gave the site,to Abraham,of the sacred house that is the Kaaba that he build ,saying associate not anything in worship with me,and sanctify my house for those who compass it round ,or stand up,or bow,or prostrate themselves

Remember Abraham said,o my lord make this city one of peace and security and preserve me and my son from worshipping idols.[ Alquran ]

And during building Abraham said ,our lord make of us Muslims ,bowing to your will,and show us our place for the celebration of due rites,and turn unto us in mercy,for thou art the oft returning,most merciful.[ Alquran ]

To sum up the whole things ,the kabba is a memorial commemorating the memory of great sacrifice. Message of this sacred place is actually to memorise the patience,sacrifice,and obedience of Prophet Abraham,his wife hajirah and their son ismaeel. Allah liked their obedient hearts so much that he made their every action worship for us. 

Muslims who perform the hajj or umrah must round the Ka’aba seven times,must run between Safa and Marwa seven times and for hajj we have to do many more things. All these actions are actually the great sacrifice of these three personalities. 

Almost every Muslim have a dream of going Mecca and Madinah,but only some of them knows the true purpose of this piligrimage. Faith,sacrifice and patience are the main qualities which a Muslim must possess. And this piligrimage is a training period to develop these qualities. We will never become a true Muslim unless we don’t have these qualities. 

Allah says,without doubt,among men,the nearest of kin to Abraham,are those who follow him,as are also this messenger and those who believe,and Allah is the protector of those who have faith. Al Imran  

One important thing to ponder is that Allah ordered Abraham to build a house for my worship when Abraham had passed in all trials. When he had proved his sincere love for god in every step of his life. Then god ordered the sacred Abraham now u are the only one who deserves this blessing of building my house and u and ur wife are the only persons  whose every action ,I will make a worship for whole human kind. 

Imagine how much god loves Abraham s servitude towards him. This gives us lesson that Allah bestows his blessing only to his true slaves who at the every aspect of his life defeats the devil as did Abraham. He defeated the devil every time and always did what Allah ordered him. . 

May Allah makes us true followers of the path of islam and makes true Muslims like this sacred family.
